BEST OF BEAUTY 2013

I should probably warn you, this is going to be a long-un! I tried my best to keep to five favourites for each little category, but several spilled over because it's just too hard to keep some of them out! Some of these actually appeared in my 2012 favourites too, but that should just tell you how much I really do love them. So without further ado..

THE NEW YEAR POST

One of the pro's of documenting your life on the internet is when it comes to looking back at the year just past, it's easy to find out what you wanted to change at the start of the year, and whether you stuck to any of the resolutions you always seem to make. I found this post, and I'm happy to see that I at least achieved half of what I wanted!

SEASCAPE ISLAND APOTHECARY

I'm a big lover of natural products; we all know the nasty ingredients like parabens, SLS' and artificial fragrances aren't the best thing to be putting on our skin, so I was really intrigued to try out some products from Seascape Island Apothecary. I picked out the Unwind Body Lotion, and Refresh Hand & Nail Cream, both made from local ingredients from where the company is based, in Jersey.

CHRISTMAS 2013

Yep, it's the obligatory 'What I got for Christmas' post that pretty much everyone does after the big day. This year was my first Christmas without my family which obviously made it less special, but they left me a big pile of presents to work through so I didn't miss them too much ;) (i'm joking!) Kane also really spoiled me, getting me Benefit make-up, and some underwear.

THE BOXING DAY SALES FAVOURITES

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8

I always feel a little odd talking about the Boxing Day sales; most of us have just spent the day surrounded by presents, but then the next day comes and everyone goes out shopping for more! That said, it is a great way to get some bargains in and spend some of your Christmas money, if you got any. There's lots of gorgeous bits to be had, and many shops do up to 50% off so it is great value.

LIFE LATELY #6

stockport fair | pyrex & midwinter buys | christmas edibles | festive costa | new vegan cookbook | market buys | finds of the week | vegan cottage pie | warrington christmas market | vintage beauty finds | new candle | christmas!

I've been a bit quiet on this here blog recently, I'm sorry! As an online shop, December really is my busiest month (or it should be!) so I've been focusing on getting as much listed in my ebay store as possible. As well as that, we've had quite a few fairs and have been snooping around for lots of stock, as always.

THE SUNDAY POST; IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS..

December 1st always marks the day my Christmas decorations go up, but this year I was left a little disappointed. I ordered a tree online which didn't arrive on time, but it arrived a couple of days later so I partook in my yearly tradition of Elf, decorations and cheeriness!

YOU BEAUTY ADVENT CALENDAR; WEEK ONE

Week one of the You Beauty Advent Calendar is over, and what a week it has been! So far there's been a great mix of bits behind each door, great brands, and something that really is for everyone. It's still as exciting as ever getting up each morning and opening it up, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what's still on offer over the next couple of weeks.

MAKE A WISH..

I was surprised with this a few weeks ago now by my lovely Mum, who I guess must have been feeling sorry for me with the lack of advent calendar this year after going vegan. The You Beauty Advent Calendar (RRP £49.95) is a little bit on the pricier side of standard chocolate ones, but definitely worth the splurge if you feel like treating someone (or yourself!)
