Weekend Wishlist : Paris Edition.

( 1 | 2 | 3 4 | 5 | 6 )

I know I’ve really been looking forward to Autumn, but as soon as the cold weather hit, it struck me that my A/W wardrobe is seriously lacking. And considering I’m off to Paris for a few days at the end of the month, I thought I’d best get thinking about a few items I’d like to add to my wardrobe that would be perfect for wandering the streets of Paris.

My majorly essential item is a coat, or jacket; I used to own quite a few of these, but looking in my wardrobe all I seem to own are extremely heavy ones that are really only suitable for the extremely cold winter months, so I’d like more of a lighter option. I absolutely love this classic pea one from Topshop, and being grey it would fit in with most of my wardrobe too. I also need a good pair of ballet flats, as I seemed to go a little peep-toe crazy in summer, but they aren’t the most practical, especially when I’m expecting wind and rain. I’m never the most organized so I would like a travel wallet too so I can keep track of everything – both these are from ASOS, and with the help of Cuponation I’m hoping to be able to get a little discount too! They have a lot of discount codes online and show a really fantastic selection of brands (link?) for different countries, so I’d recommend going and having a little peek at their website if you fancy saving a few pounds! It’s not just fashion either, there’s beauty discounts, electricals and even holidays, so it’s one to keep bookmarked.

I also want a bag that’s just about big enough to fit my camera, purse and phone in, and one that’s going to be comfortable and safe too. The Zara City bag seems to fit all of those as well as just being absolutely beautiful – I’ve seen this on a few blogs and it was love from first sight. It was exactly the same with this H&M blouse as well which I spotted in store a few days ago. I absolutely love lace, and I love the red colour too, although there is a cream option if you fancy something a little more neutral.

What do you think of my picks? Has anything been catching your eye this week?

Lush Christmas '14.

As soon as the Lush Christmas range hit online, I knew I had to be making an order. It was a sad, sad day for me that the Lush in my town closed down, but it did cut off my bath bomb addiction slightly, and now I usually stick to making a little splurge for the seasonal ranges. Christmas especially just isn't the same without a selection of bath bits from Lush, so I bought a few items.

Bubble bars are my favourites from Lush; you can use as little or as much as you'd like, but I find a standard size one such as The Comforter will last me about 4 baths so they're much better value than the ballistics too. I don't ever crumble them, I just hold them under the running water; it's much more effort, but makes so many more bubbles with smaller pieces. The one I knew I immediately had to get was Holly Golightly which is a gorgeous patchouli scent with a bit of citrus in there too. I absolutely love how glittery it is too, I know this will look great in the bath. I also got the Christmas Eve bar which I regretted not getting last year; it has jasmine and ylang ylang in so has a really nice floral scent.

The really spectacular bath bombs are always the Christmas ones, so I picked up a few of these too. I saw Cinders around a lot last year so decided I needed one; it's a lovely cinnamon scent with almond oil, and even has vegan popping candy inside. I also went with a couple of new ones, Dashing Santa which has a great citrus scent and releases lots of oils so adds some hydration to your bath. Lastly, I got Butterbear which doesn't look like the most exciting of ballistics, but has a lovely, soft vanilla scent and like the Butterball ballistic leaves your skin feeling silky soft.

Have you picked anything up from the Lush Christmas range?

Back To Vamp.

As soon as I spot Autumn on the horizon, I get digging out the darker, vampier polish shades in my collection. Throughout S/S I'm firmly attached to my pastel and peachy shades, so they actually make a welcome appearance. I've actually been changing my nails every couple of days, and I've got my eye on a few more to add to my little collection.

I think I have to start with my all-time favourite, which is Nails Inc Hampstead Heath. This is such a gorgeous berry with a plum-red undertone. As you would expect from Nails Inc, the wear time is fantastic, meaning this is on my nails throughout the most of Autumn. One I picked up last year as a magazine freebie from them is Fashion Fawn; I'd describe this as a pretty ugly shade, but for some reason I just love the tone, and think it looks quite effortless and chic on the nails. I'm sad to see both of these are now discontinued, so I'll have to be finding new favourites once they've gone.

Another gorgeous berry is from the Avon Nailwear Pro+ range, in the shade 'tweed', This appears so dark in the bottle, but when on the nails a beautiful burgundy red tone shines through. It's not the most long-lasting and usually chips within a day or two, but with a good topcoat on hand I can make it last longer. And two from Topshop always make my favourites; before these came along I was on the hunt for the perfect grey polish but always found them so streaky. 'Cloud' and 'Sketch' have changed all that, and definitely make my top 5 Autumn polishes.

What are your favourite Autumn polishes?

Paris Planning.

A bit of an odd one today, but I wanted to post about my upcoming trip to Paris. I'm heading off at the end of October for a few days for my 24th birthday, and I'm ridiculously excited after not being since I was 17 on a school art trip. We're going for 4 nights, and I'd like to get as much done as possible, so I'm basically asking for your suggestions; favourite areas, restaurants, cute shopping lanes, anything! Leave it below so I can plan out my ideal trip :)

Faith In Nature.

I'm always looking to try out more natural products, and haircare are a set of products I always think are 100% better when not full of synthetic ingredients and no artificial nasties. There's a fantastic selection to pick from on the Faith in Nature website. I'm always guilty of using far too much heat and damaging my hair, so the Coconut Shampoo* and Coconut Conditioner* suitable for normal to dry hair shouted out to me.

Starting off with packaging, I like it; it's got a nice and simple design, and I like how each picture corresponds to the main ingredients of the products. You get nice big bottles too, I've been using these for around a month now and have only used about a third of each. Both have really beautiful coconut scents that sticks around after washing which I absolutely love. The shampoo lathers up nicely, and whilst I was a little worried that the conditioner seemed a bit thin, I could still work it into my hair well and get all the tangles out.

After washing out, my hair was left feeling incredibly soft and nourished, and it looked so shiny and strong too. My hair feels really manageable, and considering it tangles to easily, this is possible one of the best conditioners I've tried for reducing that. As I mentioned before they are completely natural products and vegan too, so it's a win win for me!

Have you tried anything from Faith In Nature?

NARS Autumn Favourites.

In case you hadn't realised, I'm going to be talking about Autumn A LOT for a few weeks now, or until the excitement of Christmas takes over. And the brand that has been completely ruling the roost for me for the past few weeks is NARS. It was only the start of this year that I lost my NARS big V, and since then I've added quite a few items into the mix and slowly seen them take over my make-up routine.

One of the latest additions from NARS is the Smokey Eye Compact, that I was lucky enough to win in the beautiful Jennie's giveaway. It's a kit containing is a gorgeous trio of eyeshadows, a long wear black eyeliner, and a handy little brush. I was a bit daunted by the eyeshadow shades at first, but they're definitely more suitable for evening wear, but you could mix the two matte shades for a lighter, day look too. I usually steer well clear of kohl eyeliners, but this one is fantastic; it seriously does not budge until you attack it with some eye make-up remover, think of the eye equivalent of the Bourjois velvet lipsticks.

You can't avoid NARS blushers, for me they're just the best in the business. Unlawful* is one of their latest shades which is a gorgeous brown toned peach with some shimmer running through. It's great for making the switch to more Autumn appropriate items as I don't notice the missing bronzer quite as much as this shade is perfect for adding a subtle contour. Liberte is absolutely beautiful for  the cooler months too, being a lovely burnt orange shade that's gorgeous on all skintones.

Lastly, is lips, and my favourite new lipstick that I actually forgot to photograph! The new Audacious range has been such a hit with a fantastic shade selection, and Rita* is the perfect deep, sultry red. I've been getting a lot of wear out of the Dolce Vita Velvet Matte Lip Pencil too, which is a beautiful bitten brick red. The formula of both are absolutely fantastic too, so long lasting, so you can slurp as many lattes as you'd like without fear of it all disappearing.

Are you loving any NARS products at the moment?
