A Mini Feel Unique Haul

One of the hardest things about Christmas shopping is seeing all the amazing deals along the way and not being tempted into buying a few things for yourself. This year I've been relatively restrained, what with having a baby on the way and all (currently 8 days overdue!) but I did decide I needed a new evening cleanser, so headed to Feel Unique, and a couple items just fell into my basket along with it.

I've been using cleansing oils as the first step in my night time routine for a while now, but I keep finding I get quite a lot of eye irritation after lying in bed for a couple minutes after I'm all done, so I decided to switch it out to a balm instead. I didn't do much research, but I had heard really good things about the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm, and upon seeing I could get 15% off, it promptly went into my basket. I've used it a couple times already now and I really like how easily it emulsifies on the skin and removes make-up really effectively.

I had a little peruse around the website to see what else I could get to make the most of the discount, and finally settled on a couple of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams that I've been meaning to try for ages now. I would have gone for some more neutral shades if all the ones I liked the look of hadn't been sold out, so instead I went for 01. Amsterdam and 08. San Paulo which are very me shades. Typically all the others are now back in stock, so if I like the formula I'll head back to pick some more up.

Have you picked up any beauty bits recently?

A Winter Baby Wishlist

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7

Before I became an expectant mother, I never knew the joy that would come from baby shopping. It's all the fun of spending money but with zero guilt! After all, my baby NEEDS lots of options when there's around a 100% chance of each outfit needing to be changed after getting covered in puke/wee/poop each day. There's a few things I've splurged on, but for the most part, supermarket clothing is a fantastic option for the early days as you can get seriously cute options for just a few pounds, which is perfect when they'll only be fitting in things for a couple months!

One of the usual bug bears I have is that everything is pink, so I was thrilled to see that the George at Asda baby girl range has lots of reds, purples and blues in too! I'm also not a fan of putting baby in anything too uncomfortable looking for the first few months, so I loved how many little sets of a t-shirt, leggings and a pinafore dress there were. I can imagine when sleep is at a minimum, having a little outfit all set up for you is perfect as you try to dress baby in a crazy half asleep daze.

I've been going for quite a lot of navy blues, mustards and reds in what I've already bought for baby, so there's a couple things that will slot so easily into her wardrobe. I absolutely love the duffle coat, and if there was a matching adult size one, I don't think I'd hesitate in buying it. Or the deer dress for that matter. Or the tights.

Have you ever shopped the baby range at Asda? What did you think?
