I wish I could keep them going, but we’ve reached the end of my trilogy of gift guides! I could honestly shop all day for Ada, the amount of cute kid stuff there is out there. We’ve actually gone a bit overboard this year (probably as it’s the first year she kinda “gets it”), so hopefully she doesn’t learn how to use a computer, read, and find this blog post any time soon!
We pick up books for Ada all year round, mostly from charity shops, but Christmas calls for some really special ones. I saw The Wonderful Things You Will Be on The Larson House and had to buy it. It’s filled with the most beautiful illustrations, and got me a bit weepy reading it when it first arrived! I can’t wait to read it to Ada.
Another series of books we love is the Little People, Big Dreams. We started off with Frida Kahlo and Emmeline Pankhurst, and obviously had to add Ada Lovelace to our mini collection when it came out this year. We’re on the hunt for Maya Angelou or Rosa Parks next. We usually pick ours up from Acorn & Pip, but they can be found online too.
I much prefer wooden toys to some of the plastic stuff Ada seems to be drawn to (I swear it multiplies at night, too). Aldi bring out a wonderful collection every year, but I restricted myself to just one buy. Ada is always helping Kane make coffee, so I thought she’d love this little barista set!
The pastel rainbow is an old Etsy find, but Ada loves playing with it. And it’s cute, so it’s a win-win!
I quite regularly walk around my house and find stickers stuck EVERYWHERE. Sofas, coffee tables, kitchen cabinets. So this might not have been the wisest purchase, but I got a couple sets of stickers for Ada’s stocking. Ada loves mermaids, and I couldn’t resist the little milkshake and cactus set!
I also picked up some glitter pens for her because this girl is majorly into her crafting. And it’s a lot less mess than PVA and pots of glitter!
Another great little stocking fillers are bath bombs. Ada is FOREVER stealing mine from Lush, so I picked up these two at the unicorn day we went to whilst she wasn’t looking! I’m not crazy about them being wrapped in plastic, but I guess with so many little decorations it’s needed to keep it all in place!
Lastly is this lovely little dressing gown from Sparks & Daughters. Being table to personalise it gives it a really special little touch, but lets face it Ada will be happy with anything with a unicorn on! It’s made out of 100% cotton and is super soft!
