My Daily Self-Care Checklist

Having a ten month old means I spend most of my days with a little person completely reliant on me. I make meals, spend hours playing, change nappies, and through Ada currently clingy, separation anxiety filled days, I can’t so much as have a wee in peace. There’s a few things I like to do that let me feels a little more human, although this won’t be the usual self-care checklist filled with positive things like “drink more water” or “go for a run”; these are the things that make me feel better, healthy or not!
  • Start the day with a coffee
  • Go on a walk
  • Have a small treat
  • Spend at least a few minutes in the garden
  • Light candles
  • Cosy up under blankets
  • Cuddle with Ada
  • Read
  • Take time for a skincare routine
  • Write in my Happiness Planner
  • Listen to music
  • Watch a comedy on TV
