Let me start this off by saying, I am not at all a dress person. I so wish I was, but it’s just not really me, unless it’s summer and so hot I can’t wear anything else. I think it’s down to my shape; I’m a typical hourglass with a large bust, meaning I should really wear fitted dresses that show it off. That’s just not my style though, and I’d much rather wear a shift, although the majority of those make me look two stone heavier. That said, I couldn’t resist picking out this blue number from Warehouse in the hope it might look okay.. just maybe.
Unfortunately right now, it’s the tinest bit too small. It’s fine on my bust, absolutely massive on the waist, and just a tiny bit too small on my hips and bum (hence the lack of full length pictures!) It’s wearable, but it just clings a bit too much right now to look decent. I am currently losing weight, so I’m hoping it’s going to fit just in time for spring, which lets face it, is the only time I’m going to be able to wear it anyway!
The material is really beautiful, a crepe style that looks flattering and feels more expensive than most. I absolutely love the cut out detail on the back too, which stops it from just being a simple shift. I really love the colour too; I don’t actually own anything this shade of blue, and I know it’ll be a staple for me this s/s, ’til then I best get working on some squats and lunges so it’ll fit properly! I’m really impressed with the quality and I’ll be keeping my eye on the Warehouse dresses range
more often now.
