Accuse me of being middle aged or old before my time, but I just don’t care, I’m throwing it out there.. I bloomin’ love scented candles. I’m sat in my living room writing this where there is four in that room alone. I usually stick to the good ol’ Yankee Candle, but recently the likes of Diptyque and Neom have been catching my eye. The price is of course a tiny bit of an issue, so I thought getting one of the mini ‘travel versions’ would be a good way to try them out.
Neom candles come in a wide range of different scents, although they’re usually a mix of a few things and aren’t particularly obvious by the names! The candles are described as ‘treatments’, with the idea each scent can help boost particular moods or soothe illnesses. I went with the fragrance ‘Sumptuous’, a gorgeous mix of rose and neroli which is said to be a ‘feel-good’ mix, helping to lift your mood and calm the mind. It is a really lovely scent and doesn’t feel at all overpowering, but does fill the room it’s burning in.
The candle itself is 100% natural vegetable wax with aromatherapy oils, meaning it gives a really good clean burn. One of my pet hates with candles are those that don’t burn all the way to the edge, even when you leave them lit for hours on end, but there’s none of that with Neom. So, they might be a bit expensive, and sadly really out of my price range for the most part, but you are paying for fantastic quality. If you’re new to the brand I’d definitely recommend one of these little mini candles, they come in lots of different scents and have around 20 hours burning time.
