6 Lifestyle & Interior Favourites From March

I'm writing this post on the 2nd April; supposedly it's Spring, but I've just cancelled my plans for the day thanks to the incessant rain and snow that's been coming down since I woke up at 7am this morning. Hooray!

Instead, I thought I'd look back over some of my favourites from last month. March was a bit of a quiet month for me on the blog, so here's a round-up of some of my favourite things that you might not have seen.

Matalan has been one of the big surprises so far this year; they released some new homeware ranges that most of the interior instagram world seem to have gone crazy for. I snapped up this gold planter for £12, and the Ficus Alii I found super cheap in B&Q makes the perfect addition to it.

#2 | READ

Slow Sunday Club has been running since around January now, and this weekend the 10th edition hit my inbox. Although, for some reason on a Sunday I actually spend most of my weekend busily doing housework, but it's a great read for when I'm settling down to have a spot of brunch.

#3 | WEAR

I got this stunning Lola Rose bracelet a couple of weeks ago now, and I've not been able to take it off. Since becoming a watch wearer at the start of the year, I've opened myself up to the idea of wearing bracelets, and I'm in love with the minimalist design of the Jerymn Street bracelet. It's made out of a dyed black quartz and 18ct gold, and pairs in perfectly with my watch. The packaging was absolutely perfect too; it's sent in a little box, with a velvet pouch inside, making it a perfect gift for someone.

My skin was pretty awful at the start of the month, so I put a new skincare regime in place with the help of some Dr. Roebuck's products. I've been using the Protect & Prevent serum + moisturiser religiously throughout the month, and they've quickly become two of my favourite products. I usually have to stick to moisturisers suitable for oily skin, and despite being a thick product that first appears white on the face, this one isn't too heavy for my skin and sinks in nicely.

And the serum! Gone are the days of using sticky serums that never felt like they really been absorbed properly; I've been using this day and night, and it's disappeared into the skin in less than a minute. All the products (except one of the lipbalms which includes beeswax) are vegan and cruelty free.

Spring flowers are some of my favourites, and I honestly don't think you can beat a pastel combination of hyacinths and tulips.

#6 | EAT

I discovered Earthlings this month, and after two visits I've been really impressed. All of the food on the menu is vegan which makes such a change, most of the places we go there's usually just one option that you're stuck with! I've been for lunch and had a delicious curry that was filled with so many different types of vegetables, and for breakfast I had a smoothie bowl (above). If you're local it's definitely one I'd recommend to check out if you're close to Bolton!

Do you have any favourite things from March?

*I was kindly sent the Lola Rose bracelet and Dr Roebuck products free of charge for review purposes. All my thoughts are honest and my own. Thank you to the brands who support Hey, Mama. If you're like to work with me, please go here.
