New Spring Summer Pieces.

The high street and charity shops have been pretty kind to me recently; I've found some pieces that are fitting in really nicely with the rest of my wardrobe, and a couple items that I've been looking for for quite a while too. It all happened on a recent charity shop trip that included a little visit to a Gap Outlet store as well.

Starting off with the charity shop buys, first up is the tan shoulder bag which has added nicely to my mini bag collection. I think it was only around £3-4 or so, and it's just so simple and easy to wear, it goes with pretty much everything. My other favourite charity shop buy is the denim a-line skirt I found for again just a few pounds. Sadly I have to lose a few pounds before I can properly wear it, it just feels a tiny bit snug around the hips at the moment. I also picked up the little blue and white check vest which I think would be perfect with jeans for an easy to wear outfit, and best of all it was only £1.

I've never really been a big Gap wearer but considering it was an outlet store we headed in anyway, and I was pleasantly surprised with what I found. I did try on a pair of boyfriend jeans and quickly realised I looked utterly ridiculous, so headed for my usual stripes. The grey ribbed tunic (similar here) is my favourite piece, it's so easy to just throw on with jewellery and red lipstick and look like you've made an effort, and I think it'll be a good transitional piece too. The navy dress is one more for the warmer weather, I'll be wearing this a lot throughout summer when I don't have to wear tights with it. I've also just realised I also got a cute woven stripe tee that's already in the washing pile!

Have you bought much for your spring / summer wardrobe yet?

  3. Love the grey and white tunic. Such a pretty colour for Spring! Also a big fan of that denim skirt. I haven't had one of those since I was about 16 but I feel like this might be the year to invest in a new one! xx

  7. It's been such a long time since I've done a charity shop trawl, I also forget that Gap exists and there's even an outlet nearish to me.

I'll have to start thinking about summer soon, I'm in need of less black items x

  16. Yeah, most of my bags usually come from the charity shops! I've just got a navy blue straw across body bag for summer for 50p.
