It's a little late, but better late than never, hey? There's a few really standout products from the past month, which are a mixture of new buys and old rediscoveries. I've had a bit of a beauty shake-up, and all my make-up, skincare and haircare have had a switch around, but I seem to be being thanked for it as my skin has improved a lot and my hair has had a new lease of life.
I say my skin has gotten better, but as soon as I've started talking about it, two big blemishes have appeared which is just typical. I've been using The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil every night since buying, and it's definitely love. It's just so quick and easy to remove make-up, and my skin is left feeling fresh and nourished. After toning I've been popping on the Balance Me Congested Skin Serum nightly which really calms down any blemishes I do have and makes sure no more appear! It's a lovely light texture and can be used a serum all over the face or as a targeted spot treatment, which I like.
I have been cutting down on my make-up, but when I do reach for more coverage I've been going for the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation. The main reason for this is really, despite being "ivory", it's a good summer shade for me right now having a bit of a tan. It is a lovely formula though, around medium coverage, with a fresh dewy finish. On top I've been popping on The Body Shop Honey Bronzer in 01 Light Matte, which again has been adding a bit of colour to my cheeks without being too orange or muddy looking, just really natural and pretty. After this I've been using my go-to fuschia pink lipstick a lot this month, MAC Speak Louder. It's a lovely deep pink but isn't too over the top for every day, and is a wonderful Cremesheen formula. My Lips and Tips post had a few of my favourite lip and nail combinations, so it's only natural the one I've been using a lot is Soigne Cerise which is a very lovely match for Speak Louder. Again I don't usually wear a lot of pink like this on my nails, but I've just been drawn to it a lot recently.
I haven't got a lot of haircare favourites, I've mostly been using the same things for the past couple or months or so, except one new item which has become one of my favourites. It took me ages to get hold of the Charles Worthington Volume and Bounce Texturising Spray, but my goodness was it worth it. After a quick spray in the lengths of my hair and the roots, I'm left with a really great textured and voluminous look, which is much better than uniform, flat curls. I've found a new love for my body too, the L'Occitane Milk Concentrate with Almond Milk. I just love the scent of this, and it's so creamy and nourishing but doesn't take ages to sink in either. I've only got a teenie pot so I'm trying to be very sparing! I've been spritzing on my Prada Candy after, this just takes me back to Amsterdam as I bought it over there. It's a really lovely summer fragrance, quite sweet and girly, but not too sickly or overpowering.
