First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads

I've never used anything from First Aid Beauty before, but after seeing a little review of this on Ms. Hirons blog, the Facial Radiance Pads have been in the back of my head for a while. I was given a little push after spotting them in the Feel Unique sale, and have been using them at least once a day for the past couple of weeks since they arrived.

The First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads come in a little pot, and are pre-soaked pads with a toner designed to exfoliate whilst toning and brightening the skin. The main ingredients are lactic and glycolic acid, which is an AHA, perfect for dealing with dark spots or leftover blemish scarring. It also uses cucumber and indian gooseberry to tone the skin, with liquorice and lemon peel to brighten. The pads are quite small, but big enough to cover your entire face, with quite a lot of product soaked in that's more than enough to go over your face once, or even twice if you fancy saving them ( although that might not be the most hygenic! )

Whilst they aren't the most effective thing I've ever used on my scarring, after using one daily for the past two weeks I have notice a big difference in the overall appearance on my skin. Everything looks brighter, the tiny little bumps that used to cover my forehead and tops of my cheeks have disappeared, and my skin even looks firmer. If you have really oily skin with serious scarring, they probably aren't going to be enough for you. But if you're perhaps on the drier, or more normal side, and can sometimes find other AHA's irritating, I would really recommend giving these a go. It's radiance in a pot.

  1. I've been using these pads for the past few months as well and I have to agree, my overall complexion has definitely brightened up! I have lots of acne scarring and I think every product helps. I'm such a stinge and cut every pad in half to make them last longer haha, half a pad is more than enough for the face and neck!

  9. That's a really good idea! I'll have to do that instead of just using them twice. It's not stingy, there is so much product on each pad it seems a waste to just throw it away.

  10. I like the sound of these - I've used some products with AHAs in that have driven my skin crazy so it's good to know these worked well for you! x

  13. These are definitely on the more gentle side, so probably one to get you started if you're a little nervous of the more concentrated AHA's :)

  14. Aaah, that's a shame! They are more gentle and definitely made for more sensitive skin, so these might be worth giving a go.

  15. I've seen these before but I have never tried them as I reach for the Clarins exfoliating toner every night and it works quite well for me. These do sound alright though, so I may have to give them a go. xx

  16. i really want to try these! the only thing that i don't like about toner pads is that they seem really expensive for the amount of product you get - i would use one every morning and another every night so if it's a pot of 60 pads i'd use them up in a month! but that said i've had the nip + fab glycolic toning pads when i picked them up in a sale once and i like having a few options to choose between so they didn't get used up immediately, but that's the main reason i've not picked up the first aid beauty ones yet.

I've been wanting to give these a try for quite some time now. They sound great, though I feel like I would need something a bit stronger but it never hurts to give them a try right?
