I've always been a lipstick lover, but blush and I are having a serious moment. I'm building up a little collection, and my favourites appear to be coral, peachy shades that are perfect for summer. Despite having the most of these, I've rounded up five favourites that suit lots of skintones and deserve to be used a lot for the next couple of months.
Starting off with a real favourite, NARS Liberte. This is a gorgeous burnt coral shade, with a little hint of red. I have to use this incredibly lightly as it is well pigmented, and being quite pale it can go a bit over the top. But swept on with a light hand this looks beautiful, and I'd think is deep enough to suit many skintones too. It's got the fantastic lasting power of NARS, but does fade very slightly throughout the day to a pretty peach shade. A quite similar shade, although in cream formula, is Liz Earle Healthy Glow Cream Blush* in Coral. It does have a bit more of a peach undertone, but leaves a really glowy, fresh pop of colour to the cheeks. This stuff packs some serious pigmentation too, I can't see myself ever running out because you only need the tiniest amount!
Another gorgeous peach is aptly named, Sleek Life's a Peach. It's a matte shade so looks awesome with a tan, and is has such a good formula, pigmentation and lasting power considering it's under £5! One of the newer ones in my life is theBalm Lip and Cheek Cream in 'Pie'. It's a beautiful watermelon pink with a pretty sheen, and even better it can be worn on the lips too, although I haven't tested this out yet. All of these lip and cheek creams come in a little palette now, which I'd love to get my hands on. And last but definitely not least, I've been using the Soap & Glory Peach Party palette for a while now, as it's a perfect mix of a blush, bronzer and highlight shades. You can use this individually or just as I do, giving it all a bit whirl over with a brush and applying around the temples and apples of the cheeks. Don't worry, it's not as drastic as it sounds, and it just gives a lovely glowing look to the face.
