I glanced over at the cleanser shelf in my bathroom the other day to see a bit of a pile-up. Oils, balms, creams and gel cleansers a-plenty, so I thought it was about time I did a round-up on some of the ones I've been reaching for the most recently, both day and night.
Eucerin Dermo Purifyer Cleanser* is my latest, which is a gel cleanser suitable for oilier skintypes. It foams up slightly when massaging into the skin, but it doesn't feel stripping at all. My chin and oily t-zone feel very balanced and fresh after use, it's only my cheeks which are normal that feel a little tight, but nothing a good moisturiser doesn't sort out. It's very gentle, but has salicylic acid in to help combat any blemishes too. I've been using this in the mornings when my skin isn't looking the greatest and it's been helping clear it up a lot.
I've been using the Body Shop Vitamin E Cream Cleanser when my skin has been flaring up too. It's extremely gentle, and if you need a good no-frills cleanser for the mornings then this is it. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated, balanced and very soft. It's fantastic for sensitive skintypes too, and I've been going for this when suffering with hayfever too so I can pop this over my eyes and I know there's be no extra irritation. Another one from the Body Shop is the Camomile Cleansing Butter which I love in the evenings. I usually use this as my first cleanse but you could use this alone too as it dissolves every scrap of make-up. It really hydrates and isn't too heavy on my oily-combination skin, it's just perfect and I'd really recommend everyone giving this a go.
My last one I've been using a lot in the mornings is Jurlique Purely Bright Daily Cleanser*. This a nice thick one, so you add a little water to your fingers so you can really work it into the skin. It has a really lovely fresh, uplifting scent which I love first thing in the morning, and again it leaves my skin feeling really fresh and clean. It's got willow bark and pumice in too which gives a very slight exfoliation to the skin which brightens up my skin after a couple days of use. I'm getting close to the end of this one but it'll be a definite repurchase, when my skin is a little more normal, or just after a breakout when some scarring needs clearing up, this is my go-to.
Have you tried any of these? What are your current favourite cleansers?
