It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

I understand that the lyrics in the title of this song are referring to Christmas, but for me the best time of the year are the summer months. I spent my bank holiday buying new fresh flowers for my home and in my garden planting up some new ones I'd just bought. The weather was beautiful too so I sat outside for a while, although started going a bit red so had to go inside.

This is a bit of a non-descript post, but I couldn't resist photographing my peonies. They're definitely my favourite flowers with tulips, it's just a shame they don't seem to be around for very long as all in the UK. I got mine from Asda, which cost £4 for 5 flowers. I also added some spray carnations to my basket which I really love at the moment, they last so long too. I'm filling my house with plants and flowers and sorting out my front and back gardens which is making me to happy, everything looks so bright and cheery!

Do you love this time of year as much as me?

Beautiful peonies! I agree - this time of the year is lovely, but also love December talking of Christmas...
