Birchbox Harper's Bazaar Edit, May 2014

I apologize if you're sick of reading about Birchbox already, but I couldn't resist adding my two cents after receiving my first ever box. The beauty box hype has mostly died down, but one that consistently seems to put out fantastic boxes are Birchbox, and I couldn't deal with being left out of it any longer! After subscribing last month my first box, the Harpers Bazaar Edit arrived a few days ago, and I love everything inside.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish:
Shock horror, I haven't tried this! Possibly one of the most cult cleansers amongst the blogging community, and clearly around the rest of the world too, this has just won over 100 beauty awards. It comes in a little tube which is 30ml in size with a muslin cloth, which is always handy to add to the collection. Really looking forward to finally trying this!

Benefit They're Real! Mascara:
Again, another seriously well-known and loved product, by myself included. I think mine is currently about to run out so I was really happy to see it in. It's possibly the best mascara I've ever used, and just works perfectly in creating some serious lash volume and length without clumping. Perfect!

Soigne Cerise Nail Lacquer:
This is the only full size product in the box, and a bloomin' good'un! As soon as I got the box I popped this on, and it's a gorgeous red toned pink shade that I absolutely love. The formula is great too, opaque with just one coat and a nice thick brush so you can cover the nail quickly. I'll have to look out for this brand as I'm really impressed with this.

Aromatherapy Associates Revive Morning Bath & Shower Oil:
I've tried oils from AA before but they've always been relaxing ones, so I love the idea of something more uplifting. It's a little 3ml bottle but enough to try out a few times to see if you like it. I'll be saving this for those early morning showers when I've practically had to drag myself up.

Beauty Protector Shampoo & Conditioner:
I spotted the Philip Kingsley dry shampoo in a few other boxes which being honest, I probably would have preferred, but these sound lovely too. They've got a gorgeous scent and would be a perfect travelling option, although with nothing booked I doubt I'll save these. I've not heard of the brand but I'm looking forward to trying them out!

I've never been a massive fan of beauty boxes, I've always thought I might as well just spend the money on something I'd actually like, but Birchbox have changed this completely. Everything I've tried already I love, and I'm really looking forward to trying the rest which I'm sure I'll love as well. Including a full size product worth £11 alone means it's fantastic value for money, too. Even the box is beautiful, it's definitely a keeper too! Have you tried Birchbox? What's your favourite monthly subscription box?
