Another month has flown by, Spring has graced us with it's presence and the sun is shining - pinch me, I must be dreaming! Beauty wise this month hasn't been too exciting, I've mainly been focusing on my home so beauty buys have been on the back burner, but I rediscovered a few old favourites as well as just a few new buys I've been loving.
Surprisingly I only have the one skincare item in my favourites this month. I've mostly been using the same products since the start of the year, plus I haven't been having too great of a skin month either. I did rediscover the La Roche Posay Effaclar Lotion which works as a gentle exfoliating toner but also has salicylic acid in so it has been helping to calm down and ease the breakouts I have been having. The Seventeen Phwoarr Paint Concealer has been a must have this month for that reason too, it's a seriously high coverage concealer which has been disguising the pesky cystic spots that seemed to have pitched a tent all over my chin this month.
I featured a Korres body milk in my favourites last month, and yep I'm back again with another one. I picked a slightly lighter fragrance for the Spring months, and I've not been able to stop using the Vanilla Plum version all month! It is a light cream but feels very hydrating and sinks in really quickly, so perfect for the warmer months. A beautiful Spring fragrance my Mum treated me to this month is Marc Jacobs Honey which I've probably worn most days this month. It's such a fresh fruity scent with a beautiful sweet undertone, plus with beautiful packaging so classic of MJ. You can't go wrong with this one!
To help combat the appearances of blemishes my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush has been my favourite throughout March. I go through stages of swapping this with the Buffing Brush, but I think this one helps give your foundation a lighter higher coverage which has really been needing this month. As always the RT brushes are fantastic quality, I absolutely love every one I own. I've really been loving the Urban Decay Flushed Palette to help fake a pretty dewy and sunkissed look. The bronzer is the perfect shade for lighter skintones like mine, and I love the blush, just I do have to be very lighthanded with the highlight otherwise it really emphasizes my pores. It's a great palette for Spring and travelling.
I've dug out my Revlon Lip Butters this month as they're absolutely perfect light spring shades, and I've become obsessed with the Juicy Papaya shade this month. They glide on so easily, and this particular one is a gorgeous everyday pinky peach shade that gives a great pop of colour. My L'Oreal Colour Riche polish in Nouvelle Vague has been in rotation with Models Own Utopia all month long, but this one is definitely my favourite. It's the perfect bluey-lilac hybrid with a great formula, it's definitely love.
