You Beauty Discovery Box - March 2014

You Beauty Discovery Box - £6.95 including delivery

This months You Beauty Discovery Box had a 'Best of British' theme, so lots of fantastic brands including the Body Shop, Crabtree and Evelyn, Paul Mitchell, John Frieda and Rimmel. For those of you who are a little over the beauty box trend and aren't willing to pay around £13 a month for products you're unsure you'll like or be able to use, You Beauty is a fantastic option. You select the two products you'd like (with a couple of extras thrown in), and it costs just £6.95 including delivery, so cheap as chips too!

My first selection was The Body Shop Sumptuous Cleansing Butter. TBS near me actually closed down this year, so I've not had a chance to pop into store and investigate this further, but it's definitely one of the cleansing balms that caught my eye. This is the full size of the product which usually costs £12 (almost double the cost of the beauty box!), and comes with the muslin cloth. I'm very excited to give this a go!

I actually picked a product from a brand I've never really heard of before, but I've used a Vichy radiance serum and absolutely loved it, so I was interested in trying Orico's offering too. The Transcend Marine Radiance Serum boasts results of illuminating the skin whilst plumping and hydrating, so perfect if you're skin is a little dull or dehydrated. I've got a real thing for serums at the moment, so this sounds like it'll be a lovely one to add to the clan. You Beauty usually offer discounts on the full sizes if you've liked the sample, which is a nice little extra too.

As well as the products I selected, something from the Vintage Cosmetic Company was sent out in each box. By the looks of it you could have been sent false eyelashes, tweezers or toe separaters. I'm pretty happy with mine as I've never worn false lashes, and I already have a set of tweezers from the brand. They also sent out a couple little sachets of tea which sounds so lovely, especially the mint one! As always this box was fantastic value for money, and I'm really looking forward to next months Organic & Natural box.

I'm a big fan of the body shop cleansing butter, although many reviews i've read don't like it! It may feel a bit greasy on the skin, but don't you wash it off anyway? x

This is such a great value box, I can't believe it's only £6.95 with delivery!
I would be ordering it to try out the Body Shop Cleansing Butter but it is now out of stock on there! Please let us know how you get on with the cleanser,

I'd never heard of this box before but it looks great! I really love beauty boxes but I stopped getting them because I ended up with an enormous box of products that I didn't actually want - and even with those products that I did like to use, I ended up with so many random cleansers and things that I never got round to using 75% of them! I think I'll give this box a try next month.

  8. I've only tried it once, but it seems lovely so clear! Left my skin feeling very fresh, no greasy film like I've heard from some others. xo

  9. Haha, you do! I've tried it and haven't experienced anything like that, but I sometimes use a cleansing milk after balms too xo
