I've never really been too obsessed with L'Oreal as a brand. Great haircare, yes, and the occasional pretty lip product that draws me in, but the likes of Bourjois or Revlon have always tipped the drugstore scales for me. That said, when I popped into Boots with the intentions of picking up a few things, I couldn't drag myself away from the stand, and left with a couple new beauties as well as an old favourite.
The True Match foundation has been everywhere in the past couple months, it's been hard to avoid it. This is a bit of a weird one because this is actually the first ever foundation I started using around year 10 of high school. I used this with the powder from the same range for years until I started discovering a few new products and it got a bit forgotten about. This has been compared to Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk, so I'm really looking forward to giving it a go soon.
I've had my eye on a few of the Colouriche Liquid Lipsticks for quite a while after seeing them pop up on some blogs too. I was torn between the colours, with 'Tangerine Sonate' and 'Nude Ballet' really catching my eye too, but I went with the classic bright pillarbox red shade. I'm really into sheerer or glossy colours as the weather improves, so I can see myself getting a lot of use out of this. I'm really tempted to go back for more shades too!
One thing I definitely do not need more of is pastel nail polishes, but I just could not resist picking one up from the new Colouriche Les Blancs collection, I went for #851 Nouvelle Vogue. Is it a lilac? Is it a blue? I have no idea, but I do know I bloomin' love this stuff, definitely my new favourite polish. It sort of switches between tones depending what light it's in, but it's just absolutely beautiful. I love the packaging too, and the brush is really large meaning you can paint the whole nail in one go. I popped this on as soon as I got home, it is just so gorgeous.
Have you been buying anything from L'Oreal recently? What do you think of my buys?
