SPRING NAILS WITH MODELS OWN

Last month Models Own had another of their infamous 50% off sales, which I took full advantage of, naturally. I thought it was a good chance to pick up a couple shades I've had my eye on for quite a while, as well as adding to my pastel collection.

I picked up a couple from the HyperGel collection, one which I added to my 1000 follower giveaway, but the one I kept was Pink Veneer. It's a really pretty baby pink that only needs a couple of layers to go opaque. It's a very similar formula to the Barry M Gelly polishes, although this one chipped after a day so I still need a pretty good top coat.

Utopia is one of those 'blogger famous' polishes that I've attempted to buy so many times, only to find it's always sold out. Now I have it, I can see all the fuss. It's a beautiful grey milky toned nude that is such a perfect everyday shade that could be paired with many topcoats or glitters. It was opaque after just one coat too, which is impressive for such a light shade.

I absolutely love this glitter from the Wonderland collection, although the idea of actually wearing it terrifies me (this is going to be such a bugger to remove!) It's such a pretty blue iridescant glitter that's full of very tiny particles. It could easily be worn as an all over colour or a topcoat, and is a really versatile polish.

And possibly my favourite of them all, Fuzzy Peach. On the website is appears as a pastel peach, but in real life is a much brighter orange toned shade which I'm really happy with. It might look ridiculous on my pale skin, but I can see myself painting my nails with this throughout all the spring and summer.

Did you get anything in the Models Own sale? What are your favourite polishes for spring?

  12. Sorry to be that person, but I think you mean that the sale was 'famous', not infamous. I've seen a lot of bloggers using the word wrong lately, and it's just been really bothering me.
Unless you do think that the Model's Own sale is famous for something bad, in which case my apologies.
