KORRES 'ROSE' MANDARIN LIP BUTTER

I've always been a big fan of the Korres lip butters, but the little pots have put me off buying more than the one I own. I know they're pretty and all, but everytime I apply I'm left with a bright pink mess on my finger as the one I have is fairly pigmented. So when I spotted the Korres Flower Power set with a stick version rather than a pot, I jumped at the chance. The Mandarin lip butters come in four different shades, or a colourless version is also available.

First up, I love the packaging. The typography design really appeals to me, and it looks more luxe than a standard lip balm. It also has words inside beneath the lid, with a brief description of what the product does and some of the ingredients they use. Which, if you were wondering, are shea butter and sunflower wax, so perfect for creating a fantastic moisturising lip balm. They're also paraben, mineral oil and silicone free, so only good quality ingredients go into these. On application it glides on really easily, and isn't too heavy on the lips.

The thing that really appeals to me about the Korres lip butters are the colour payoff. In winter my lips get really chapped, and sometimes I have to forgo wearing a lipstick to smother my lips in something more hydrating, but it doesn't matter too much with these. Despite being a balm they do have incredible pigmentation, and I only need a couple swipes of this to create a good colour. It's a buildable colour too, so it can be worn quite sheer or as a deeper shade if you'd like. 'Rose' is a beautiful colour, a great classic red that would suit all skintones.

I'm seriously happy I found these, I feel they're a lot more usable in the sticks rather than a pot, and the products itself is just fantastic at providing a pretty colour whilst moisturising the lips. Perfect for this time of year! Have you tried any of the Korres lip butters? What did you think?

  3. I picked up the Flower Power set too, isn't it just gorgeous? Korres really know how to do their packaging well. Definitely prefer the stick to the pot, it's so much more hygienic x

  5. The pigmentation on these is so good I could really use a product like this at the moment, I am the same with pot lip products it just seems really unhygeinic to me to have to keep dipping your finger into a pot x

  9. I've always wanted to try their pots, but the messy finger part of it really didn't appeal to me. This however, solves all those problems! Looks like perfection and I really want to pick one up! Thanks for the great review!
