BEDSIDE BEAUTY

There was a time when my bedtime beauty routine would be the bane of my life. I'd end up that tired I wanted to hop straight into bed and fall asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. Nowadays, it's an essential, and I actually find it incredibly relaxing, almost like I can't drift off without it. There's just a few products that make it to bedside status, all of which work incredibly well together to help work some magic on my skin whilst I snooze away.

First up, after I'm brushed my teeth, washed my face and cleaned my teeth, is the REN Clearcalm 3 Night Serum. I've been using this serum for months now, and whilst I feel it hasn't quite been working the magic it used to, it still does a fantastic job of leaving any blemishes I have feeling calmed and soothed overnight. I wanted to try something a little different so I recently purchased the Balance Me Congested Skin Serum. It's very different to the REN option, being much more of a light gel than a cream, but seems to work equally as well if not better. It's earlier days but it's been reducing any blemishes I have, and sorting out some pesky cystic spots I've had at the moment.

Next up is the Botanics 100% Organic Facial Oil. I don't use this on a daily basis, it's more for when I do have some cystic spots or am especially suffering with some scarring. This really replenishes my skin overnight, and leaves it looking so bright and feeling wonderfully supple in the morning. I've also started using a new night moisturiser recently, from the No7 Essential Moisture range. I've only just started using this but so far, I'm impressed. It hydrates really well and isn't too much for my oily/combination skin. I've had no breakouts since using it and my skin feels balanced in the mornings.

And last, but definitely not least, I can't be without Soap & Glory's Hand Food just before bed - am I the only one who applies hand cream before bed? This is possibly my all time favourite hand cream, I love the scent, in sinks in really quickly and just does a bloomin' good job of leaving my hands feeling soft and moisturised! I also smother my lips in a good coat of lip balm, my favourite at the moment is from The Body Shop Honeymania  range. The lip balms and butters from TBS are up there with my absolute favourites, and this one does the job perfectly as well as smelling and tasting pretty darn good too!

Do you use any of these? What are your favourite bedtime beauty products?

  1. I can only imagine how gorgeous a honey lip balm is! What would you say has been the best lip balm you've used? My lips are so chapped at the moment because of the weather and I can't seem to find anything that work's well for them! x

  5. No you're not the only one that uses hand creams before bed, I do it too! I think it's the best moment for do that since during the day I generally hate the feeling of hand creams on my hands. I need to try the Balance Me serum, it sounds pretty lovely, and I need something effective to reduce blemishes!

Sharing your love for hand food too! Definitely prefer to apply hand creams before bed, that way they don't get washed, rubbed off haha. seems to make more sense!xx

  13. I also always apply hand cream before bed and Hand Food is also my current choice! :) The Honeymania lip balm is amazing - like spreading pure honey (but not that sticky) on your lips - I'm addicted to this scent!
