THE SPRING LIP LINE UP

I realise Winter has literally only just begun, but the end of Christmas usually results in me looking forward to Spring. The past week or so has seen me ditch the deep reds, fuschia pinks and plums in favour for a few lighter shades. Here's what I'll be reaching for the next few months..

Pinks: Pinks are perfect for an everyday natural colour, and Revlon Kissable Balm stain in Honey is my go to 'my lips but better' shade. Korres Pomegranate lip butter is very close too, and gives a lovely pink sheen of colour as well as being moisturising. For a bit of a brighter look #16 of the Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish gives a lovely pop of colour without being too barbie pink.

Peach's: Avon's Peach Peck is my most reached for peach; some of them are a little too bright and wash me out, but this one is perfect for my skintone. With a 60s eye look this one is too good. Topshop's Ohh La La is another pretty one, but possibly a little too bright for me and something I save for when I have a slight tan, if that ever happens! And of course, I can't not mention MAC's Vegas Volt which was possibly my most reached for lipstick last Summer, a slightly darker peachy coral.

Red's: I still wear red's but it's usually slightly sheerer or brighter shades. First up is the Revlon lip butter in Wild Watermelon, which is a lovely sheer pinky red shade. No7 Gay Geranium is in my top five lipsticks of all time, such a lovely colour of orange red with a great formula. I really fell in love with the L'Oreal GlamShine Stain Splash's last year too, and they're so easy and simple for when the weather gets a little warmer. The shade Princess is the perfect coral.

Are you planning ahead for Spring?
