BALANCE ME CLEANSE & SMOOTH BALM

Cleansing balms have become a huge must-have amongst pretty much every beauty blogger. The most well known of such of course being by Emma Hardie, but not having over £30 to spend on a cleanser, I thought I'd try out the Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm having heard such wonderful things from the gospel according to Hirons.

This is advertised as being suitable for normal to dry/sensitive skin, a far cry from the oily mess I'm cursed with, so I was a little wary at first incase it broke me out. It's a balm with little oatmeal grains inside which help to rid the skin of any dry areas, but too much of a scrub can be damaging for more oily skin types. You only need the tiniest bit of this, apply using your fingers and massage for around thirty seconds lightly. The grains are quite refined, but I still do this delicately as to not upset my skin. Then you apply a little water to the balm, and the texture really loosens up so I go to town massaging this all over the face for another 30-60 seconds. Then remove.

It's a little fussier than standard cleansers, but for the lazy types like me, it means I actually have to spend some time on my face for this to work properly and get every little bit of make-up off. It contains beeswax and shea butter, great for dry skins, but if you're a little oily like myself I use a light cleansing milk afterwards just to guarantee no residue is left over. I've been using this for a couple weeks now, and I have to say so far I'm thoroughly impressed. Usually if something breaks me out, it happens immediately but this has done the exact opposite. My skin is looking clearer, brighter and feeling balanced. It has a gorgeous citrus scent, and is made with 100% natural ingredients. If you're lusting after some of the more expensive balms out there but they don't really fit your budget, I'd definitely recommend this one! Another hit from Balance Me.

Have you tried this? What did you think?
