CURRENT TOP 5; BLUSH

Blushers are one of my items I feel the need to do a big shift around with first when Autumn draws in. Out go the bright corals and peaches, and in come a few more subtle colours, although a few brights stick around for those dull skin days guaranteed around the colder months.

I recently picked up No7 Honey in Boots 3 for 2, which is a pretty musky brown peach colour, that surprisingly looks really natural on my pale skin, and means I can usually go without contour on my lazier days too. I haven't bought a No7 blush in ages, but I am disappointed to see the size has shrunk from 5g, to 3g, and I'm sure the price hasn't changed! Another musky shade is Natural Collection Sweet Cheeks, a pretty natural shade of pink with the slightest hint of brown in there. Both are great for when I want a more relaxed look with my make-up.

Sleek Rose Gold is up there with my all time favourite blushers, and said to be a great dupe for Nars Orgasm. It's a beautiful peach colour with gold shimmer running through, so I do have to be aware of being too heavy handed, but it gives the skin a great glow and flush of colour. Dainty Doll 002 is a similar shade, slightly more pink, but with the same great shimmer. It's a cream to powder finish so sticks around for ages too. Another cream favourite is Topshop Flush, a gorgeous peach toned pink; definitely not for the faint hearted, but perfect for dull winter days!

  4. I'm very lazy about my make up and blusher is a complete essential to make me look alive and awake, I tend to use the same shades all year but maybe I need to think about switching when my skin is paler
