BOURJOIS JAVA RICE LOOSE POWDER

Having oily skin, powder is an absolute must for me; as much as I'm not a huge fan of using it, unless I want my foundation half way down my face by mid-day, it's an essential. I've been a loyal user of the Rimmel Stay Matte powder for close to a decade now, but the problem is in the title, it really does make you matte! I'm not a huge fan of it particularly, and I've been looking for a way to make my skin looks less dull without having to apply liberal amounts of highlighter.

This is really, the best of both worlds. It comes in the beautiful vintage style packaging which really appeals to me, and has an easy twist-open mechanism meaning you don't waste a huge amount of product. A little goes a long way with this too, and I only need the smallest amount to set my make-up in place and leave my skin looking glowing and radiant.

I have been using this as a powder all over my face instead of just the usual highlighting areas, because I feel it's not got too much shimmer than you end up with glitter instead of a face! It's been on my 'want list' for so long now, I'm really happy I finally picked it up, and by the looks of it, it makes a great high street dupe for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder everyone and their mothers want! Have you tried this? What did you think?

  4. The hourglass powders on are my list!!! HOWEVS this does sound like a fantastic dupe, I love the packaging and like you my skin is oily so I do need a little something to keep my foundation in place. I'm not a fan the matte matte look either so this sounds perfect :)

  9. I absolutely loved the packaging when I first read about this products on the official Bourjois website. Then I read about the shimmer thing and decided not to buy it because I'm just not very trusting towards shimmery powders etc, but then again the packaging is so cute I might start thinking about it!
