Lush Gorilla perfume album II launch party

Yesterday I attended the launch of some new lines of the Gorilla perfume range from Lush. You'll know if you're a regular reader that I am 100% a Lushie, and I love experimenting with all their different ranges but until now the perfume range is one that I haven't had any experience with. It was held at Kuckoo bar in Preston where we were led through all the perfumes and talked to about the inspiration behind each fragrance, hearing stories of how the creators came to create each one, and the personalities of them. We got to try each of the perfumes, passing around a bottle between us and testing it out on our skin to see how each scent develops with the person.

As well as this, there was a performance from Kiki deVille, a burlesque singer, and a few readings from some amazing poets, all which really added to the evening. Being held in a bar I of course couldn't resist having a few cheeky cocktails whilst wandering around, soaking it all in. I was also kindly given a little press pack and goody bag, all of which was handpicked for me which was such a lovely touch! They'd obviously put the effort in to really get my personality from what's on my blog and everything they gave me I absolutely love. This was actually the first bloggers event I've been to and I definitely don't think I'll be to one like it again; so much effort was put in to make it a successful evening, and I really enjoyed myself. The atmosphere created by the staff, perfumes and acts who performed was just wonderful. Thank you Lush Preston!
